Instructions For Exporting Reports

Viewing Report In Browser

This requires Internet Explorer, Version 5.0 or higher, or Netscape , Version 4.75 or higher. Earlier versions of the browser offer very limited support of this function.

For Internet Explorer users only: The browser will allow some of the same menu controls that the corresponding application has, i.e., if exporting to Microsoft Excel, the browser will offer insert, format, and data menus, in addition to the normal browser menus.

To save a report that has been viewed in the browser, select File->Save As. You will be prompted with the Save As Dialog Box. Change the Save In folder to a directory on your local hard drive (or network file-server). Enter a File Name, and change the Save As Type selection to the desired format, i.e., .xls for Microsoft Excel. Note: you will not be able to save the document to the folder on www.tdrdata.com, we do not allow documents to be saved to our web server. We apologize for this inconvenience.

For Netscape users only: Selecting either export option produces the same result.

You will be warned of a possible security hazard due the browser attempting to open a file with an associated application.

This dialog will also allow you to open the file with the corresponding application, or save the file to disk. If you select "open the file", then the corresponding application will start up and the exported report will be loaded into the application for you. If you select "Save to disk", please see the instructions below.

You will be left with an empty browser window open after either selection. Please close this window.

Save Report To Selected Format

This functionality is supported by Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher and Netscape 4.0 or higher. If this function does not work for your browser, we would strongly recommend upgrading your browser to the most current version.

You will be prompted with the File Download dialog. Please select Save this file to disk. You will then be prompted with the Save As dialog. Select the appropriate directory from the Save In drop down, change the File Name to whatever you desire, and Click on Save.

After completing the file download, you will be left with an empty browser window open. Please close this window.
