Patient Volume Databases

The Patient Volume databases are derived from large, nationwide patient samples to track activity in various treatment settings. Each database tracks a different setting and typically covers nationwide, ICD-9-specific data. Depending on what database is being used, statistics available may include discharge rates, demographic information, concomitant diagnoses and/or procedures, and drug information. The databases cover over 7,000 ICD-9 codes, and are also searchable by keyword. Samples are available from the search page of each database. For current and comprehensive epidemiology, search the Incidence and Prevalence Database (IPD).

U.S. Patient Volume Database (HIP HOP ER POP)
